DT-12XX Virtual Motor  [DT-1200/DT-1201/DT-1205]
The DT-1200, DT-1201 and DT-1205 are virtual motor boards (connected by PCI bus) with inverter models and motor models incorporated in the FPGA.
 
Overview
The DT-1200, DT-1201 and DT-1205 are virtual motor boards (connected by PCI bus) with inverter models and motor models incorporated in the FPGA. These virtual motor boards are essential products for configuring motor HILS (Hardware in the loop simulation) that can evaluate controllers without connecting actual inverters, motors or loads to the controllers.
 
They are useful in the following cases.
1. When wanting to proceed with controller development although the inverters, motors, loads and other components are not yet completed.
2. When waning to connect virtual inverters, motors, loads and other components to a controller so as not to damage prototype virtual inverters, motors, loads and other components that have been developed.
3. When wanting to connect actual loads to a controller and evaluate the controller under various load fluctuations, but it is difficult to reproduce those load fluctuations.
The boards also reduce costs by shortening development time and reducing the number of prototype motors, and ensure safety in testing.
 
Features
1. The current response time of motor models is extremely fast at several µsec.
2. Highly accurate operations of 32-bit floating-point format are possible.
3. The boards run JMAG-RT motor models of nonlinear response.
4. Controllers can be evaluated under dynamic load fluctuations by modeling motor loads with Simulink.
5. Multiple motor boards can run simultaneously.
6. Development can be done in the MATLAB/Simulink environment.
