JMAG-LIB  [DT-5013]
This Simulink library shares JMAG-RT behavior models between SILS(MATLAB/Simulink) and HILS(RTSim: realtime simulator).
 
What is JMAG-LIB?
This Simulink library is an option of the motor simulation library (MOTOR-LIB) and shares JMAG-RT behavior models between SILS(MATLAB/Simulink) and HILS(RTSim: realtime simulator).
It simulates models by incorporating a floating-point arithmetic unit into the FPGA in order to produce the characteristics of JMAG-RT in HILS, as in SILS. Because of this, efficient controllers can be developed using the high speed, high precision virtual motors that simulate actual motors.
 
JMAG Interface
The interface between JMAG-RT behavior models and JMAG-LIB converts JMAG-RT into RTSim, therefore the models can be used from the JMAG-LIB block.
 
Library Outline
The library is composed of a JMAG-RT??RTSim conversion command and motor blocks for SILS and HILS. Both motor blocks are supported by RTW. To use the HILS motor block, the DT-1203 (motor board) is separately needed, and changes to motor specifications must be set with Simulink.
 
Modeling and Simulation
HILS systems that include JMAG-LIB models can be built using RTSim in the same way as with SILS systems if the components that depend on RTW (RealTime-Workshop) are removed.
 
DT-1025 + DT-1005 (Virtual motors)
This hardware is for executing HILS motor models. PWM gate signals are input from outside the circuit and converted into inverter voltage that then drives JMAG-RT-compatible motor models. The calculated current, torque and other parameters are converted into voltage and output by the BNC.
Motor parameters are set in memory as tables when the model is initialized. For this reason, they can be easily used by HILS for other motors by just JMAG-RT/RTSim conversion and compiling. This kind of system is called a "virtual motor."
